Working student PHP development (m/f/d)

Bit&Black is one of the driving innovators in the printing and media industry. We develop software to rethink and sustainably improve existing structures in the areas of layout and print data production. Our solutions connect the digital world with the printed one. To support the team in the new and further development of our software, we are looking for working students (m/f/d) for 4 to 20 hours per week.

We also offer students the opportunity to work on their bachelor’s or master’s thesis in our office.

What we expect from you

  • You have good knowledge of object-oriented programming with PHP 8

What you can learn or deepen with us

  • Basics and application of the SOLID principles
  • Working according to PSR standards
  • Quality assurance with testing frameworks such as PHPUnit and PHPStan
  • Writing clean code
  • Documentation of your code
  • Refactorings

Which we would be happy about

  • You know how to work with Composer and Git
  • You are familiar with semantic versioning and deployments
  • You have knowledge of using Symfony (version 6 and 7)
  • You've heard of InDesign and have an interest in visual design

What else defines you?

  • You are enthusiastic and particularly interested in topics relating to the printing and media industry
  • You are interested in new technologies and enjoy learning about them
  • You work in a structured and self-organized manner
